China Securities and China CITIC Bank recently co-hosted the New Energy Industry Investment and Financing Forum in Shanghai, uniting industry experts, financial institutions, and professionals to address investment and financing challenges and opportunities in the sector. The forum highlighted the pivotal role of financial institutions in supporting significant investment required for clean energy projects and featured insightful contributions from Shu Ting of Syntech Partner and Yang Min of Shanghai Electric Hydrogen Energy Central Research Institute. Shu Ting provided valuable perspectives on the commercial aspects of hydrogen as an energy source, while Yang Min, a senior director at the Central Research Institute of Shanghai Electric Group, brought a unique perspective to the discussions with her expertise in cleaner production technology and her substantial involvement in shaping national standards and development strategies for hydrogen energy and fuel cells in China.
